Assisted living in the area is also significantly above the average cost in the bordering states of Nevada ($3,595), Oregon ($4,659) and Arizona ($3,900).
In California, assisted living prices fluctuate between cities. Assisted living in Valencia is more affordable compared to coastal areas such as San Luis Obispo ($5,800) and San Francisco ($6,100). However, in some inland cities including Stockton ($3,500) and Bakersfield ($3,613), the average cost of assisted living is well below Valencia. Northwest in Santa Maria, assisted living costs are the same as in Valencia, while further north in Sacramento the median costs are nearly $400 higher.
