Originally built as a retirement community, Tamarac caters to older adults and is still home to a growing population of retirees. Compared to nearby states, it’s higher than Alabama’s average cost of $3,150, the same as Georgia’s average and lower than Mississippi’s $3,713 and South Carolina’s $3,988.
Tamarac’s average cost of assisted living is lower than many other cities in Florida; however, costs are more affordable in Sebring ($2,895) and Tampa ($3,225).
