Rates are higher in South Carolina but lower in North Carolina, where residents pay about $80 less than Palmetto’s seniors do. Alabama’s rates average just $3,150.
Compared to other cities in southwest Florida, Palmetto’s assisted living options are slightly more affordable. Tampa is an exception, with rates averaging $3,225. To the south in Punta Gorda, prices average $3,938, and in Cape Coral, they’re far higher at $4,500. Naples residents pay $4,550, which is one of the priciest assisted living rates in this part of the state. Sebring has some of the least expensive assisted living costs in Florida at $2,895.
