Across New Jersey, the median cost of care is 35% higher at $6,650. Seniors in Connecticut and Delaware pay between $6,300 and $6,690. New York residents pay $4,800 per month, and rates drop to $3,955 in Pennsylvania.
Southern New Jersey is a time-tested retirement destination, and seniors in Ocean City happen to enjoy below-average assisted living prices. Median rates of $4,945 are lower than any other metropolitan area in the area. Prices in Philadelphia are $605 higher at $5,550. Atlantic City residents pay $845 more at $5,790.
