The agency also offers a long-term care ombudsman program to advocate for seniors living in long-term care facilities.
The Mecklenburg County Community Support Services Veterans Services Division(704) 336-2102Veterans of the armed forces and their families can receive assistance with claiming benefits as well as administrative services at The Mecklenburg County Community Support Services Veterans Services Division. The Aid and Attendance pension benefit helps Veterans to cover the cost of assisted living care. Counseling and legal assistance are also available.
