Welcome to Thomson-Hood Veterans Center! Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is a 285 bed long-term care facility that has served more than 2,782 Veterans from all branches of the armed forces since admitting the first resident on August 25, 1991. Thomson-Hood is the largest facility operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs. Thomson-Hood, along with it's sister facilities in Hazard and Hanson, forms KDVA's Office of Kentucky Veterans Centers.
