Welcome to Pleasantview Home! Pleasantview Home is a respected not-for-profit organization nestled in the farmlands of Iowa. Pleasantview is a vital part of the Kalona, Iowa, community, a small town (population 3,000) and tourist spot located 17 miles southwest of Iowa City. Kalona is one of the largest Amish and Mennonite communities west of the Mississippi River.
Pleasantview is known for its strong sense of community; its caring staff, its comfortable home-like atmosphere, its continuum of care, and its focus on spiritual life.
Pleasantview provides opportunities for involvement in the campus and local community to live life to the fullest. To coordinate spiritual and social activities, our staff includes a large activities department and two chaplains. Over 80 volunteers help provide additional support with activities that give personal attention to make life even more enjoyable at Pleasantview.
