Bob Hope Village is a one-of-a-kind community with a kind and caring mission. Home to surviving spouses of retired military members, Bob Hope Village is located in Shalimar, Florida, and is set among the trees of Northwest Florida. We’re located three miles from Eglin Air Force Base and eight miles from Hurlburt Field with all their facilities, such as commissaries, base exchanges, health care and a full range of recreational offerings. We’re only a short drive to the beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast, and we enjoy a wonderful sub-tropical climate. We’re a gated community, offering security and peace of mind. Our campus is shaped by four villages of garden apartments. Breezeways connect every section of the wings and the community center. Each wing has its own activity room and free laundry facility. We have 224 one-bedroom apartments and 32 two-bedroom apartments. Prices vary depending on the size of the unit and personal utility usage. At Bob Hoppe Village, you can become involved with volunteer opportunities (library, gift shop, or community center activities.) You can enjoy an abundant range of activities from Wii bowling, bridge, Zumba Gold classes, and social events such as the annual Luau and Independence Day picnic. Of course you can always relax by the pool and visit with friends. Whatever you choose, it’s up to you!
