Lutheran Homes Society was founded in1860 as the Lutheran Orphans' and Old Folks' Home Society. The Society serves youth and elderly in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Bethany Place is the newest ministry of Lutheran Housing Services. Bethany Place is a 46-apartment senior community that provides all utilities and services, except monthly phone charges, for one reasonable rate.
