This means that rather than considering someone a “patient” with a focus on illness, we look at them as a “client” with a focus on what is still possible. Rather than dwell on what has been lost, we work with our clients to help them remain engaged in life. While almost all of our clients have some medical needs (medications, exercise or therapy requirements, diabetes, varying stages of dementia, etc.), we help them manage those needs and enhance their wellness and their well-being.
