Mercy Retirement & Care Center residents live at the
highest level of independence possible. If a resident needs or wants, we can
provide services which enable them to grow and strengthen, to live happier and
healthier lives. Mercy offers assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing.
Mercy is proud to have staff chaplains, social workers, and assisted living
wellness nurses.
Residential Assisted Living:
Residential living is a comprehensive package of services and amenities designed
to reduce daily chores - and give our residents a better quality day. For those
who need additional support, a personalized care plan can provide services for
both safety and comfort. The Residential Assisted Living program includes:
- Three balanced, nutritious daily meals
- 24-hour call system
- Wellness Clinic
- In-house physical therapy
- Scheduled transportation to medical appointments
- Utilities
- Monday - Friday and Sunday Mass
- Evening rosary
- Weekly laundry and housekeeping
Mercy also offers an extensive enrichment program
including:
- Computer-based Brain Fitness classes
- Exercise and tai chi
- Trips to museums, restaurants, baseball games
- Group trivia and crosswords
- Art classes led by our Artist-In-Residence
- Performing artists
- Children visiting from schools and parishes
Mercy offers four levels of personalized care services. Our kind and patient
caregivers help residents with medication management, showering/bathing,
grooming, dressing, and escorting to the dining room and programs.
Memory Care
Mercy's Oasis Program is an exceptional program for residents experiencing
memory loss or cognitive impairment. The Oasis staff receives professional
on-going training for the latest techniques on how to create successful
interaction, how to care for reluctant residents, and how to initiate one-on-one
activities with residents.
Monthly fees for the Oasis Program include assistance with
medication management, showering/bathing, hygiene, dressing, and nutritional
monitoring.
Skilled Nursing
Mercy's Care Center is a soothing, quiet, restorative environment for residents
requiring 24-hour nursing care. Sr. Melanie O'Brien, R.N., our Director of
Nursing, has been at Mercy for 27 years.
A certified Eden Alternative Program, our Care Center is a
place where life revolves around close and continuing relationships with each
other, children, plants, and pets - a life worth living. Just ask Captain, our
Golden Retriever.
