Welcome to Mercy McMahon Terrace
A Place to Call Home
As more and more of us live longer, it is evident that the "graying of America" is a concept that will be with us for years to come. Although many myths and stereotypes prevail about our older population, one fact remains - they desire to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible. In short, they want to age in place. The Sisters of Mercy of Auburn recognize the need for this kind of living arrangement in the Sacramento area and want to assure our seniors that this kind of service is available to them. With the support of the Diocese of Sacramento and a grant from the estate of long-time Sacramento resident Claire McMahon, the Sisters have developed Mercy McMahon Terrace - A Place to Call Home. MERCY McMAHON TERRACE is licensed by the Department of Social Services as a Residential Care Facility For The Elderly. (RCFE) Mercy McMahon Terrace offers a modern approach to meeting the housing, social, and day to day needs of senior citizens - in a homelike environment. Security and companionship opportunities for social interaction are attractive to many seniors who either have an existing need for assistance or are planning for the future.
Three Levels of Assistance
We offer residents supportive services designed to help maintain the highest level of independence. These services will be determined on an individual basis with each resident through a detailed needs' assessment. While some residents may be able to live independently, others may require supportive assistance with activities of daily living, while still others may require direct care from a LVN or RN. Caring, knowledgeable, licensed staff members are on site 24 hours a day, to offer general assistance and to respond to emergencies that may arise. Mercy McMahon Terrace provides the following three levels of assistance: These listings indicate the services available in each level of assistance. The level of care will be determined by the need for any one or several services as outlined below: Plan A INDEPENDENT LIVING For those who maintain a high degree of independence but want to live in a secure, comfortable environment where assistance is available if needed.
