We want all of our residents to live self-directed, personally fulfilling lives. To make that possible, we carefully balance the independence our residents want with the support they need. Every resident is assigned a Personal Assistance Liaison, or PAL, who is comprehensively trained to provide hands-on help with the activities of daily living. Additionally, a licensed nurse is on-site to administer medications, perform wellness checks, communicate with physicians, and attend to any health concerns that may arise. Knowing that a nurse is available gives our residents confidence to enjoy their independence to the fullest. And it gives their families peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved ones are supported by a well-trained, licensed staff.

The Belmont Village Person-Centered Living ® program is an individually tailored, research-based program for residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of memory loss. Residents live in a separate, secured neighborhood within the Belmont Village community where a staff specially trained in dementia care is on duty 24-hours-a-day. A focus on "mental workouts," encompassing the six areas of cognition, allows residents to exercise their minds and memories every day. All of the exercises and activities are specially designed by the Belmont Village gerontologist to be adaptable to the abilities of each individual.
