Each resident may enjoy the privacy
of their own apartment or suite or visit with new-found friends in one of our
many lounges, game rooms and library. Mealtimes offer a variety of delicious
foods and friendly companionship in one of our many dining rooms. Recreational
and social activities are here to enjoy with programs, classes, card games,
movies and parties. Our mini-bus is available for frequent outings to shopping
malls, theatres, concerts and events scheduled. There are non-denominational
services in our chapel, a beauty and barber shop, and even a gift shop. All
of these amenities are included in the security of a 24-hour community, where
each resident has the knowledge that our concerned medical staff is available
at all times.
Autumn Leaves offers the following
three levels of service:
Independent Apartments - for
the active retiree
Autumn
Leaves offer the active retiree a carefree community environment... free from
the normal chores and burdens of living alone. At Autumn Leaves you can remain
active and independent, yet enjoy the conveniences that make life easier and
more pleasant.
At Autumn Leaves, your time is your
own. Not only are there new neighbors to meet, but there is also a weekly array
of activities, outings and programs. A selection of delicious meals is served
in a nearby dining room with a sweeping view of White Rock Lake. Many special
services such as housekeeping and laundry assistance are available on request.
Residents can choose from large efficiency
or one bedroom apartments - all with a large balcony or terrace. Each apartment,
decorated with attractive carpet and drapes, is ready for your personal touches.
For snacks or refreshments, there is an all-electric kitchen. There is even
an emergency call button that is monitored by our nursing staff.
And best of all - should you or your
spouse need additional services or medical assistance, our Personal Care or
Skilled Nursing areas - overseen by our R.N. Director of Nursing - are equipped
to provide high level temporary or long term convalescent or emergency care.
Often minor colds and short term illnesses can be monitored by our staff in
your apartment. Should continuing care be needed, these areas would be available
for as long as such services are required.
Residential Personal Care
- for the retiree who needs a little help
Personal
care apartments at Autumn Leaves combine the independence and privacy of your
own home with the personal support of our helpful 24-hour staff. Here cheerful
attendants are available just outside your door to provide assistance from personal
grooming and housekeeping and laundry services - to a friendly reminder to take
medications on time. If help is needed with a bath or just remembering an appointment,
our staff is there.
Personal care residents can choose
from large efficiency or one-bedroom apartments, each decorated with attractive
carpet and drapes. For convenience there is an all-electric kitchen, a central
TV antenna, individual temperature controls and even a large balcony or terrace.
Reassuring support systems, including smoke detectors, bathroom safety bars
and a 24-hour emergency call system, are found in each apartment.
A comfortable dining room, where
a variety of taste-tempting foods are served at your table, is close down the
hall. If needed, special diets can be arranged.
Personal care residents are able
to maintain an independent, supported lifestyle - all while being a part of
the full Autumn Leaves community. Our library, chapel, numerous lounges and
game rooms are always available as are many social activities, classes, trips
on our mini-van and other events. Personal care residents may be as active as
they wish - always with the security of knowing a helpful hand is there if they
need it.
Skilled Nursing Care - for
those requiring nursing or medical care
With the reputation as a leader in
the health care community, Autumn Leaves provides skilled and intermediate nursing
care of the highest quality. Our nursing service provides exceptional medical
care and assistance specifically tailored for each resident.
Nursing suites and rooms may be private
or semi-private. They are graciously decorated in warm tones and arranges around
a central dining area, lounge and nurses station. Each nursing unit is small
and familiar, so it is easy to develop friendships, feel comfortable in your
surroundings, and know our staff on a personal basis.
Personalized nursing service at Autumn
Leaves is directed by registered nurses, advisory physicians and other professionals
experienced in long-term care. Licensed nurses are on duty at all times. Our
high staff-to-patient ratio allows us to closely attend to each resident's needs.
Meal services are prepared under
the guidance of a registered dietician. Residents enjoy personal menu selections,
and special diets are routinely provided. Additional medical services such as
physical therapy and pharmacy services are available.
As part of an active retirement community,
nursing residents share the amenities, activities and programs available throughout
Autumn Leaves, as well as from a variety of social and recreational activities
specifically tailored to their interests and needs. All this is just part of
